Enthusiastic San Antonio cyclists founded the Hill Country Bicycle Touring Club because it was felt that a bicycle club was needed in the San Antonio area that had more emphasis on all levels of riding ability.
Our rides are moderate, ranging in the 10 to 14 mph average. Most of our rides are leader- led, and we leave no one behind. We are a very social club, and we have several picnics, parties and overnight events throughout the year. We also have weekend outings and tours.

- Tour de Cure
The annual bicycle event will take place on May 11th. HCBTC does have a team, which we invite you to joint. Anyone who registers with the promo code TOUR50 will get a 50% reduction in the registration fee. Distances include 15, 30, 48, 74 and 101 miles with the start and finish at Retama Park. Participants only have to raise $200.00 to qualify for this event and there are no overnight accommodations or transportation costs. There will be a dinner and entertainment at its conclusion. There is a big rally on March 16th at Texas A&M, San Antonio campus, with reduced-rate registration between 7:30 and 8:30. See the club calendar for details.
