Camp Sequoia

Saturday September 4th: The beautiful heart of the Texas hill country, Camp Sequoia will be the location for a fun filled day of fishing biking and relaxing while in the company of good friends. Bear Moon Bakery Ride

Sunday September 5th: Ride starts at 7:30 a.m. from at the Leon Springs Park and Ride parking lot (I-10 and Boerne Stage Road) for a group ride of 30 miles over rolling terrain. We will stop at the Bear Moon Bakery in Boerne before returning.

Saturday September 11th: Poth Ride to remember, sponsored by the city of Poth and the Alzheimer’s Association. HCBTC is proud to support this worthy cause. Rudy’s of HWY 151

Saturday September 18: Wheels down at 8 a.m. from Rudy’s of HWY 151 and Westover Hill. This nice scenic and hilly 20 mile ride (several shorter routes available) takes us around the Sea World area to Talley Road with two convenience stores on the way (map 114). Lunch at Rudy's after the ride.

Castroville Ride

Sunday September 19: Meet at 9:00 a.m. in the Park and Ride lot across from Sammy's in Castroville for a 29 mile easy paced group ride over mostly flat terrain. Directions: Take Hwy 90 West to Castroville. Sammy's is on the left at the third traffic light when westbound just before the river bridge.

Conquer the Coast

Saturday Sept 25 and Sunday Sept 26th Club members from Hillcountry Bicycle Touring Club will once again participate in the Conquer the Coast ride. This is a really nice ride and well supported. "Conquer The Coast"

Castroville

Saturday October 2nd: Our very own President Amanda will lead us on a leisurely ride in Castroville. We will meet at the Park and Ride lot across from Sammy's in Castroville. Take Hwy 90 West to Castroville. Sammy's is on the left at the third traffic light when westbound just before the river bridge. Wheels down at 8 am.

Shavano Sights

Sunday October 3rd: Meet in the parking lot at Eisenhower Park for approx. 22+mile ride. Eisenhower Park is located 2 miles outside Loop 1604 on Military Hwy. This beautiful morning ride is neither speedy nor hilly. We go through some shady residential areas, and some newly developing areas. Some access roads stretch to wing out a bit. Over all this is a nice way to spend a leisurely Sunday morning.

Roy's Ride???

Comal Ride

Sunday October 10th: Ride starts at 800 a.m. Come and join us on this 30 miles of flat to rolling hills ride, most of it on generally quiet and paved small county roads with a couple of rest stops on the way. The ride will travel some of the same roads that were on the Tour de Cure and will go through Marion and come back on the south side of New Braunfels. Directions to the start location: Go north on I35 towards New Braunfels. Go 5.5 miles past 1604 on 35 North and take exit 177 which is FM 2252/482. Go left over the freeway for about a half mile on FM2252/482. Take a right on FM 482 towards the town of Comal and continue for about 2.5 miles until you pass the railroad tracks and come to Comal Elementary School on the left. Please park in the parking lot on the right across from the school.

Po Po’s Ride.

Sunday October 17th: Ride starts at 8:00 a.m. This is a very scenic and hilly ride. There are those who might consider this difficult so prepare for a good workout. Directions: Take I-10 W to exit 533 (Welfare exit) and go ¼ mile to Po-Po’s Restaurant, park on the left across from the restaurant.

Great Opportunity To Learn

Saturday October 23, Three cheers for Ken and Mouse!!! They will lead us on another beautiful ride that is meant to help the beginner get stronger. This is a great opportunity to learn how to master difficult or challenging terrain without stressing your joints.
Ken is a great teacher and has so much knowledge to share and it’s free. Will post meeting location and time at a latter date.
