News Lutheran Sausage Supper Ride |

March 6th
ride starts at 1:00 p.m. Meet at Good News Lutheran
Church at the corner of Old Corpus Christi Road and
Hwy 181 South. (Tom’s Burgers) This is a 27 mile,
SE Bexar County, mostly flat, medium paced ride. After
the ride, plan to stay for the sausage supper, adults
$7/children $5. If you're not riding, come anyway &
enjoy home made sausage with all the trimmings served
family style. Food will be served from 4:00 p.m. to
7:00 p.m. Take out available.

March 7th:
New Berlin Ride will start at 9 a.m.
in New Berlin. Map 105. Come and join us for a 30-mile
group ride at an easy to moderate pace in flat to rolling
terrain. Shorter leader led ride option available. Lunch
will be in New Berlin. Directions: Take I-10 East toward
Seguin, exit on Trainer Hale Road (FM 2538) and turn
right on FM 2538 to New Berlin (8 miles).

Lone Oak Ride, meet at the former Lone Oak Cafe parking
area, near US87 East and 1604, wheels down at 9:00
a.m. This is an easy paced 26 mile, mostly
flat ride with a couple of not so steep hills on the
east side of San Antonio, shorter route available, map
# 518 under Texas Maps - San Antonio area. Directions:
Take US 87 East toward Loop 1604, the Lone Oak Cafe
is on the the left side of US 87 just before Loop 1604.

For The Beginner-----------------------------------
Sunday March14th:
Ride will start at 8 a.m. Enjoy a low
traffic, flat easy pace 22.5 mile route through downtown
and down to the Mission Trails. This ride is perfect
for all types of bikes. Bring out your mountain, hybrid,
or road bike. The ride will start at the Pearl Brewery,
go through downtown SA and then it will join the Mission
Trail at Mission Concepcion to follow along side the
San Antonio River to Mission Espada and return. Afterwards
you can check out the new San Antonio River Walk extension
and/or join us for lunch at the Farm to Table Eateries.
The Pearl Brewery is located at 312 Pearl Parkway right
off of Broadway Street. Take US 281 south towards IH35.
Exit on Josephine St and continue straight to Avenue
A. Turn left onto Pearl Parkway. Parking is available
in front of the Brewery complex or under the shaded
US281/I35 intersection. Maps will be provided. Contacts:

100 Bicycle Tour |
Saturday
March 27th:
LBJ 100 Bicycle Tour. HCBTC is a major supporter of
this event. No other rides will be scheduled today.
The LBJ 100 will be at the LBJ National Park in Stonewall,
Texas. This is the Third Annual LBJ 100 Bicycle Tour
starts at the historic LBJ Ranch at 9:00 AM. The tour
provides routes of 10, 30, 44 and 65 miles on scenic,
traffic-free roads in the Texas Hill Country. As an
added feature, Luci Baines Johnson (LBJ’s daughter)
will lead a special 10-mile historic tour with narration
at each of the historical landmarks on the LBJ Ranch.
This will truly be a “ride to preserve history.”
The LBJ 100 is an official Tour de Cure Training Ride.

Advanced Tour De Cure Training

May 1st:
Meet in New Berlin at the Brietzke Station parking lot,
intersection of FM 2538 and 775. At the T you will see
the restaurant.Ride will start at 8:00 am
in New Berlin at the Brietzke Station parking lot, intersection
of FM 2538 and 775. This is a easy to moderate paced
ride flat with some rolling hills. MPG 12-14. It is
a 34 mile ride. See maps although some
modifications will be made. Maps will be provided on
day of ride. Lunch will be at the Brietzke Station restaurant
(home of the great pies) after the ride. Directions:
Take I-10 East toward Seguin, exit on Trainer Hale Road
(FM 2538) and turn right on FM 2538 to New Berlin (8
miles). Restaurant will be on the right.
